How long has it been since you were surprised by hope? As you browsed the morning newspaper, when did you last feel a sense that the world was becoming a better place? That the forces propelling the future were on the right track? That the power of imagination was serving those with healing ideals rather than those with darker agendas? Overwhelmed as we are by images of bad news, it is easy to tacitly embrace the notion that humanity's only possible trajectory is downward.

Arghhh, malas nak pikir la. Minyak naik lagi!!! Grrrrr... I'm soooo not in the mood to blog today. Need a nap, really! See u guys tomorrow.

AKHIRNYA! Berjaya gak si MatNor downloadkan gambar2 ni dari kamera dia ke computer setelah sekian lamanye. Gambar2 ni masa buat mini gathering bakar2 ayam kat PD baru ni. Sepatutnya gathering ni suppose to be Zaki punya majlis farewell sebab dah nak bertukar keje ke kerteh dan jugak time ni spatutnya dia nak passing kat kawin dia kat kengkawan yg hadir. Tapi last2 minit, kad dia kedai tu tak sempat nak siapkan & dia pon tepaksa cancel join atas sebab musabab tertentu.

Majlis dimulakan dengan insiden glamer haram Erly dan keretanya yg mana tayarnya terpeleot ke dalam longkang umah Apih. Namun problem berjaya diselamatkan oleh krew2 pit stop yang bertugas iaitu aku, Ajang, Hakim, Mai, Apih, serta tuan keter, Erly menggunakan sejenis alat khas yg dipanggil alat bantuan jongkang bata yg kebetulan boleh didapati secara meluas dia kawasan umah Apih tu.

Kipas beb, jangan tak kipas... Dengan adanya Mai yang 10 thn pengalaman mengipaskan ayam percik pasar ramadhan di Sek9 Shah Alam, semuanya tampak mudah dong!

Para isteri sedang bergosip sakan sambil membelek2 album kawin Suri & Nani.

Adam Haikal dah tak leh handle bau ayam bakar dan terpaksa dikejar oleh maknya.

Dah kul 6 api tak idup2 lagi ni apa citer beb? Kang balik goreng je ayam2 ni kat dapur umah kang...

Ini dia tetamu jemputan kita, Dato yg dah lawan tauke interframe posing maut walaupon datang kejap je untuk tidak menghampakan pihak lawan. Kelihatan turut 'mengglamer-haramkan' diri, si pengantin baru, Suri.

On another note, watched the champions league clash last 2 days between Chelsea-Barca where Barca stole a vital away point with the score 2-1. It was a damn superb match to watch especially in the second half. Was impressed with Messi and as always, Ronaldhino. Henrik Larsson also played the game well. The Blues fought well though with 10 men after Asier del Horno's dismissal with a superb display by John Terry. Ole ole ole!!!

Nahhh, mind the tittle. I just ran out of idea what to put up there anyway. Remind me of schoold days though. Heh...

First and foremost, I've presented my assigned task yesterday to my boss. The guy was so damn impressed with my last presentation, he has tasked me with another. Man, is that good or bad? Well, I think it is good. I am not really a strong user of power point but I can learn as I go. I'm used to flying by the seat of my pants. Anyway, I'm so keen of learning Flash lately but haven't the chance of doing so. Soon, hopefully!

I went "Damn!" when I heard the news last night. The repair cost of the MRR2 bridge which was earlier estimated at RM18 Million has gone up to an alarming RM40 Million! I guess the contractors involved should be smilling after that announcement.

Read Harian Metro during the weekend and one of the news which strike my attention read : Badi Mona Fandey. It was Mona Fandey's step-son, Mohd Hafizi who confessed that he had gone thru hell of a time after the case of the murder.

IBARAT terkena badi, anak tiri Mona Fandey, Mohd Hafizi Mohd Affandi, 22, melalui pelbagai penderitaan, termasuk empat kali dibuang kerja dan pertunangan dibatalkan. Dia adalah anak Mohd Affandi Abdul Rahman hasil perkahwinan keduanya dengan Azizah Yahaya.

"SIAPA yang ingin dilahirkan sebagai anak pembunuh? Saya tidak minta dilahirkan sebagai anak Mohd Affandi, tetapi Tuhan sudah menentukan begitu. Saya tidak pernah menyesal dilahirkan ke dunia. Sebagai seorang Islam, saya terima takdir saya".

"Yang menyedihkan ialah sikap masyarakat yang tidak faham. Mengapa saya turut dipersalahkan di atas perbuatan ayah dan ibu tiri saya? Adakah semua anak pembunuh turut menjadi pembunuh... penjahat?"

"Malah, hasrat saya untuk bertunang juga tidak kesampaian apabila keluarga kekasih saya menentang hubungan kami apabila mengetahui saya ada hubungan darah dengan Mohd Affandi dan Mona Fandey".

It's hard to say really. I mean, don't get me wrong. I DO feel sorry for Hafizi for what he had gone through. I really do. But this is something to do with people's mindset. Coz it's not even a matter of giving people a second chance for crying out loud. (He didn't convicted the crime. His parents did, Wallahu A'lam). But if I were to be the father whose daughter is about to marry a son's killer, I'll be furious as well. I know it has nothing to do with Hafizi for I believe he's a well behaved gentleman raised by his mother who didn't want her son to know that he had a father in the first place; long before knowing that his husband was a killer. Not after Hafizi was aged 9. But it's really hard. People and their judgement. That's what people do all the time. I really can't say much since I don't want to hurt anybody's feeling by my comments but all I can say is that it is hard to be in Hafizi's shoe; being the victim of his dad's action (Again, Wallahu A'lam). I must admit, the world is cruel and discrimination seems to be playing its evil role in all parts of the world. But being a muslim, I'm sure ada rahmat di sebalik sesuatu kejadian. And god knows what's best for you. Just believe in Him.

If we can recall, perhaps one of the most sensational and unusual cases of modern times in the Far East reached its conclusion on November 2nd, 2001 when Maznah Ismail or Mona Fandey, her husband Mohd Affandi and their 31 year old helper, Juraimi, were hanged at Malaysia's Kajang Prison on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur.

In July 1993, an assemblyman for central Pahang state, Datuk Mazlan Idris, had approached Mona for supernatural help to boost his political career and climb the party ladder. He was persuaded by the couple to take part in a ritual in which he was to lay on the floor with his eyes closed waiting for the money to "fall from the sky." No money fell, instead it was the blade of an axe. Idris was decapitated and then dismembered and partially skinned. His body was found cut up into 18 parts and buried in a hole near Mona's home in the state of Pahang, about 130 kilometres northeast of Kuala Lumpur.

Mazlan was reported missing on July the 2nd,1993 after he had withdrawn 30,000 ringgit (then US$12,000) from a Kuala Lumpur bank. The day after the killing, Mona went on a shopping spree in Kuala Lumpur, and later bought herself a Mercedes-Benz and had a facelift. When questioned, Juraimi made a statement to the police which led to the discovery of Mazlan's remains. Unsurprisingly, Mona and husband immediately became the prime suspects.

Ladies and gentlemen,... INTRODUCING, Nik Adam making his debut in rainyacid.com! Anak kepada pasangan bahagia The Nickies : Nik Azni (Kak Tet)and Nik Razif. Kak Tet ni kakak gua. Muka Adam ni pon lagi banyak cam muka mak dia kot compared to his dad. Dah besar dah budak kecik ni. Dah pandai main dengan kucing dah pon. Anyway, take care of Adam elok2 aaa sis. Leh tag team ngan Danish nanti. We'll make sure they go to the same school nanti! Or perhaps, the same motivation course for that matter! Hehe... "Daun Hijau" remember?!

Ni pulak gambar si Danish Haiqal yg dengan bangganya memaperkan gigi2 nya dengan gaya ala2 model colgate. So far dah ada 7 gigi susu. 4 gigi kat atas (2 gigi kapak!), and 3 kat bawah. Tapi ada la yang lain yang nampak cam nak tumbuh. Try gak nak zoom kat dia punye gigi tapi susah sangat la. Asyik lari je mamat ni kalau nak amik gambar gigi dia! Dah la kalau dia gigit, sikit punye kuat. So, me better not take that risk, heh. We have finally cleared up his room so that he can have a space of his own now. More space to menyepah2 kan mainan2 dia also! To date, Danish dah makin nakal. He imitates almost anything that me & Honey would do, a very vital stage of development that is. Would jump in joy when he's happy and cry or protest when he's amused. A healthy sign that he's expressing his feeling in every way that he can. And hey, parenting has just moved on to the next stage making life even more challenging, stimulating and exciting; all at the same time. Wish me luck people!

Pagi tadi tengah aku dok sibuk check email kat opis ni tetiba kecoh kat depan reception nuhhh... Siap bunyi bising riuh rendah dan diikuti opismate2 smua blari rushing gi tengok. Nengokkan huru hara camtu aku pon bangun gi check jugak la. Dibuatnya bangunan runtuh ke terbakar ke, tinggal aku sekor2 rentung kat sini. Rupa2nya ada singa sesat masuk opis!

Singa? Actuallynya, ari ni opis aku under CTMRC organize Lion Dance sempena dengan sambutan CNY. Here's some description that Tiara wrote in the CTMRC announcement email. "At one point during the performance the Lion will inevitable come across the Choy Chang, also known as greens, which is usually a lettuce attached to a Hong Bau (Lucky Red Packet). The Lion will make a show of approaching the green, maybe backing off a few times, and will eventually eat the Choy Chang, taking the Hong Bau and spitting the greens at the audience. Being hit by the greens is very lucky".

Here are the guys belakang tabir hitting the gongs and gendangs. Was quite impressed on how fast their hand moved when they played the instruments. Telinga aku pon dah hampir pekak dok dengar diorang dok ketuk!

I was a bit dissapointed though coz wasn't able to see the lion doing those moves cam dalam citer Jackie Chan or Jet Li tuh, melayang sana, melayang sini. Nak buat camne, bumbung opis aku ni pon rendah sangat. Nak melayang apenya...

Wow! A long break for everyone. One week long. AND I must say, we all needed the long break, badly. I mean, that doesn't happen too often eh? Make us feel like we are having one of those semester breaks or something. Damn, I miss school. Especially the holidays!

The CNY break was great. Spent the first 5 days at my hometown back in KB. Attended lots of wedding invitations and family gatherings. Talking about wedding, Selamat Pengantin Baru once again kepada Shamsuri & Nur Hanani. (Jgn lupa fwd gambar nanti yek?) Gi sana ngan long time friend, Komeng-si-betis-tebal! And Danish pretty much stole the spotlight masa pengantin pompuan nak amik gambar dengan a group of kids before pengantin laki sampai. Ada satu masa tu tgh org nak ready dok posing and say cheese, tetiba Danish lari ke depan and all of them terpaksa tunggu Danish masuk group balik utk amik gambar! Pengantin pompuan pon dah berpeluh dah masa tu. And this boy actually made the raja pompuan sehari waited for him! Haha, that's really something. I think it must have to do something with those motivation quotes Honey always read during her pregnancy. "Always, always make your presence felt". There you have it!

One more proud announcement, Korie si hero Seberang Takir had also tied the knot on 30th Jan. Same akad nikah day with Suri. The reception on the other hand will be held somewhere in May. Selamat Pengantin Baru gak kepada hero ku ini. Hero? Haha, long story...

On a sadder note, which I forgot to update due to the China trip time contrain, Zaki's future mother-in-law; Faridah's mother passed away on 16th Jan after a long time battle with cancer. She undergo an operation 5 years ago after going for chimo twice and lived an excellent 5 years. However, she was having some breathing problems during ramadhan last year and was hospitalized ever since. The doctor suspected that her heart was having mulfunction due to the effect from the chimos she had earlier. I was having a kue-tiau with Zaki at Kelana Jaya before we got the news. Al-fatihah.
