A Line Up Of Hectic Weekends & The Laptop Which Silence My Blog

Musim2 raya camni kalau weekend je, memang ramai orang buat open house dan makan2. Kena pulak cuti skolah! Huishhh,... kenduri kawin sana sini. Member2 kitorg pon tak terkecuali. Banyak sangat invitation sampai kitorg pon dah takde kat umah sgt klu weekend. (I guess that makes it up for the long stay kat umah masa raya break ari tu where most people ada kat kampung!) Sampaikan sdara mara & member2 nak datang bertandang kat umah pon susah. Hope they'll understand. Setting balik nanti orait?

27/11 - Pi tengok Ahmad's Baby, Alia Mardiana; Mee Kari at Abg Topek's; Uncle Hisham's Open House
28/11 - Peedah's Wedding; Zarul's Wedding; Pakya's Open House; Kucai & Jiji's Open House; Hantar Sis Ha balik UPM
4/12 - x-uniten's BBQ Raya Party; Nur Azratul Alia's Majlis Cukur Jambul
5/12 - Ajin's Wedding, En.Amin's Open House
11/12 - Zaki's Open House
12/12 - Ayzan's Wedding
25/12 - Shikin's Wedding
... lost count, I'm sure there's more to come!

Dah ada baby ni susah sket nak planning pi mana2. Tambah pulak weekend skang asyik hujan jer. Tak cam dulu, skang ni kalau ujan tu memang bercinta nak pi mana2. Skang ni banyak pikir baby. Masa pon dah limited sket. Senja je dah nak kena ada kat umah balik. Kena pandai2 manage. I'm a man of my word. Kalau dah janji tu esp nak pi mana2 tu, I'll try my best to be there. Tapi skang ni apa2pon, bergantung kat baby la camne. Ada masanye tengah2 malam, Danish bangun berjaga & tak tido sampai ke pagi. So, the next day kitorg kena tunggu dia bangun tido dulu baru bleh nak gerak pi mana2 samada for wedding ke, open houses ker. Pesan bidan dan orang tua2, baby ni kalau kacau dia punye masa tido, meragam la dia. Macam 2,3 malam lepas... dia meragam tak tido sebab kembung perut. Pukul 5 pagi baru boleh tido & kul 2 petang lak baru bangun tido. Time tu plak kat luar dah start hujan. So, susah nak cakap.

Guess what? Laptop aku buat hal lagi. This time cannot load to windows plak. Asyik restart je manjang. Bad news is, Janet is on a long leave after raya and rabu ni baru masuk. So, nak upload gambar kat blog pon terbantut la. Last2 blog pon terbantut gak. Coz biasanye my blog, gambar je yg lebih. Coz unlike yanz, nak tulis panjang2, gua takde idea sangat. Standard laa...

Diam tak diam December, 6th. is fast approaching. Gosh, It's nearly one year since we got married. Our first annivesary! How sweet can that get? Hmppph... just hope my plan goes well! Damn, I'm a lucky man! May god bless our marriage and protect our family, bestowing it with iman, love and happiness till the end, Amin.

Buat Peedah, Ajin, Ayzan & Shikin,... Moga semuanya selamat nanti & Selamat Pengantin Baru. Moga kekal hingga ke anak cucu. And yeah, not forgetting my blogger mate, Shsuya. Harap2nya ur wedding di Kota Singa akan mendapat keberkatan Ilahi, Insya Allah. May you all get the happiness and joy that you guys deserve... as happy as Little Danish down here!... (I just lurvve this snap! Even default it as my phone's wallpaper!)

My prayers are with you always. All The Very Best!

Dendang Perantau

Salam people! Feel so good after the long break ha? So, how was Aidilfitri? Frankly, I'm still very much in the raya mood. I guess the fact that I didn't went back to KB for raya this year kinda forced my mind to think that I still can't get enough of raya. Yeah, this year is my first raya away from my family back in KB. I must say it's a pity not to go home during this emotional and meaningful day but since Danish is too young to stand the KL-Kota Bharu 8-hours journey, I'd rather put my feelings aside and decide what's best for my kid.

It's not that it is not as fun celebrating raya here in KL. Neither it's because of the raya celebration in KB is more grand or merry compared to here. Here we had lemangs and rendangs. That should make it up for our nasi dagang and sate plus nasi himpit back home. We also had the same typical thing with duit raya, relatives and all. I guess this is all about the feel. It's not fair if I say the feel to celebrate raya this year is less. Precisely, raya this year has its own different feel which is so unexplainable which I enjoyed every minute of it and I'll continue to enjoy my raya regardless of where I am celebrating it. There's always parts and parcels to things I guess. I guess this is what Hani felt during raya haji last year. Fair and square.

Raya this year has its own touch of uniqueness if you ask me although I'm celebrating it away from my kampung. The first Aidilfitri I am celebrating as a husband, the first Aidilfitri I am celebrating as a father. I guess that what draw the line during this raya and the rest of the raya for all I can think of. I dunno. Lazy to think.

Geez, it's nearly 5:30, gotta finish something before I head home.
See you peeps!

Subject : Trouble Shooting Tips If Danish Won't Sleep

As I promised fashah, I'm gonna come up with a manual on how to deal with childhood someday! And this subject above might be in it as well. At the last part of the manual perhaps, like all operating manual. Hehe...

1. CHECK IF HE'S HUNGRY. Put your finger near his mouth. If he's hungry, then his mouth will react to your finger and you'll know what you need to do.

2. DID HE WET HIS DIAPERS?. The most common explanation in most cases. He won't sleep with shits and urines covering his butt as much as you won't sleep on your bed after wetting it!

3. WHEN WAS HIS LAST BATH?. Like us, babies also would love the warm, soothing bath before sleep. The warm bath will max the entire sleeping sensation in the little kid.

4. TRY SWITCHING ON THE LIGHT. If you've done step 1, 2 and 3 but the boy still just won't doz off, ... try switching on the light in the room. In most cases, babies are afraid of the dark and to most kids, the darkness is just too much to handle that it munch the sleepiness away!

5. FEED HIM WITH GRIPE WATER. His tummy might suffer some flatulence especially if he is bottle feeding. As pre-caution, don't forget to 'BURP' him after each session of bottle feed.

6. PUT YOUR ARMS AROUND HIM AND LET HIM SLEEP IN YOUR ARMS. This is a lesson we got from our bidan after some sleepless nights. Babies would feel safer being in mommy's or daddy's arm especially when you hold him close to your chest. The sound of your heart beat remind him of the days when he was in mummy's tummy where he felt so safe and secure!

Hey, that aint too bad aite? Any additional advice?

Good Luck peeps!

More, more, more and more...

The boy is a drinking machine. I honestly can't remember the last time he was actually full and refused his milk. Usually his bottle just gets empty and we stop feeding him. Now, he'll just crave for more...

For awhile I wasn't sure where all the food was going. His mom will tell you that it is filling his diapers to overflowing. Then I decided to weigh him. Wow! At his 1 month appointment he weighed right around 4.6 kilograms. (He was 3.12 kilos during his birth). That was nearly 3 weeks ago. I think it's mostly in his chunky legs, but he's a very solid little guy. Ask Yan who dropped by just now and she'll agree with me. Hard to believe he was so skinny when he was born. I think he's making up for it now.

On an unrelated note, he got his second haircut yesterday. He may only weigh 4.5 kilos now!

Loooong Story...

Salam people! Gosh, so many things occured during the last time I wrote in here. I'll try to update at least on the surface of each one of 'em.

-The One Who Didn't Sleep; Danish
Before my outstation, Danish's sleeping patern had really gave us a big knock on the head! He had his normal typo sleep in the afternoons and evenings but when it comes to midnight, he would stay awake and refuse to sleep. And he'll keep on staying awake most of the time until the Subuh azan, and if we were lucky enough, until sahur. His two-round, dreamy eyes were sleepy allright but the little one was like having difficulties to doz off to sleep. As my mom in-law quoted, "Tu la, masa Hani mengandung dulu ayah dia suka sangat tengok bola sampai lewat2 malam. EURO la, UEFA la...". It got worsen sampai we (including my in-laws) hardly had any sleep. Sampai lebam2 mata semua. We tried not to let him sleep too much during day time so that he could sleep at night but it didn't work. We also took the time to meet some wise people (ustaz, imam... etc) for their air tawar and all, fearing it might be because of the 'gangguan' and the rest of those Misteri Nusantara's stuffs but again, it didnt show any sign of improvement. FINALLY, it was the bidan who came with the solution and answer to Danish's behaviour. The little guy actually wanted to feel safe and secure during his night sleep; afraid of the dark kinda thing you san say (And he got that from his mummy!). So, Hani had to let him sleep in her hug. And guess what, he slept like a log! There you have it, experience spoke for itself! Thanks to the otai bidan, we get to have our goodnite sleep back.

-The One Who Stepped Down; KCB
My immediate boss had resigned! An unexpected news to the company since he was among the most hardworking staffs in the company and likeable by many. And now, after nearly 7 good years with Cybron, he'd tendered his resignation. 7 years? Gosh, Danish will be in Standard One by then. Knowing him, it must have been for a better offer. He was supportive and helped me a great deal throughout the years of my career here. Trust me, you don't get to see that kinda attitude a lot in most people. All the best KCB!

-The One With The Broken Arm; My Brother, Fikri
Before my outstation, I've learnt from my mom that my brother, Fikri had broken his left arm during a silat practise with his apprentices few days ago. I took the previlage to visit him during my outstation trip back in my hometown last week and he seems to be coping just fine. And being home especially when it comes to Ramadhan, is sooo damn cool! I get to eat what I've been craving badly ever since the last time I balik kampung - Mom's cooking! Boy, how I miss my mom's cooking! Ayam percik, sup gear box, nyicoh perut( people seldom to know this kinda cooking, i must say... ), tomyam, ikan bakar, daging bakar... just to name a few to top up the list ( adeh, dah start telan air liur dah ni! ). Since I won't be going home for Aidilfitri; considering the fact that Danish is too small to go through the 7-tiring hours drive to KB, the outstation trip was put in superbly good use! Coz I'll give up anything for my mom's cooking y'all! Call me mummy's boy, I don't give a damn!!!... hehe... Thanks mom...

-The Day When The Pantang Ends; Hani's '44' Is Over
There you read it. It's been 44 days already since last week and Hani had completed her pantang. Don't get me wrong, but I'm glad that her 44 days is over. Not because of those what I think you're thinking I'm thinking but because it must have suck being not able to eat what you want to eat not forgetting those DO's & DON'TS in pantang. We'll be back to our crib tomorrow since all this while we were kinda caught up helping our in-laws moving to their new house nearby. Their raya house you can say.

It has been unbelievable quick how time has passed away. It's only a week plus to Aidilfitri and I have to say that this year's Ramadhan has taught me a lot of precious and priceless lesson in aspects of life. Life Is A Lesson, You'll Learn It When You're Through. May god bless us always. Amin.
