Dendang Perantau
Salam people! Feel so good after the long break ha? So, how was Aidilfitri? Frankly, I'm still very much in the raya mood. I guess the fact that I didn't went back to KB for raya this year kinda forced my mind to think that I still can't get enough of raya. Yeah, this year is my first raya away from my family back in KB. I must say it's a pity not to go home during this emotional and meaningful day but since Danish is too young to stand the KL-Kota Bharu 8-hours journey, I'd rather put my feelings aside and decide what's best for my kid.
It's not that it is not as fun celebrating raya here in KL. Neither it's because of the raya celebration in KB is more grand or merry compared to here. Here we had lemangs and rendangs. That should make it up for our nasi dagang and sate plus nasi himpit back home. We also had the same typical thing with duit raya, relatives and all. I guess this is all about the feel. It's not fair if I say the feel to celebrate raya this year is less. Precisely, raya this year has its own different feel which is so unexplainable which I enjoyed every minute of it and I'll continue to enjoy my raya regardless of where I am celebrating it. There's always parts and parcels to things I guess. I guess this is what Hani felt during raya haji last year. Fair and square.
Raya this year has its own touch of uniqueness if you ask me although I'm celebrating it away from my kampung. The first Aidilfitri I am celebrating as a husband, the first Aidilfitri I am celebrating as a father. I guess that what draw the line during this raya and the rest of the raya for all I can think of. I dunno. Lazy to think.
Geez, it's nearly 5:30, gotta finish something before I head home.
See you peeps!
