A cousin of mine, Faizal, is getting engaged this weekend. The news came out as a huge surprise for me, and of course, the whole family. I've always had the aura that he'd be next in the family to get married, but never really thought that it would be this soon. Well, not that he's getting married anytime soon, but he's half way there. He must have absorbed huge amount of "berkat" during my wedding last year. Hahaha... members of my family said that Faizal got 'terjangkit' from me. ;)

When my aunt broke the news (which was just 2 days ago) that he is getting engaged, I got really excited. I mean, really excited, that the thought of flying off to Sabah to witness the ceremony popped out of my head almost immediately. Unfortunately, super-saver flight tickets to Sabah are all fully booked, so I'm just gonna have to wait until the ceremony is over and let my aunt tell me all about it. Damn.

I was so happy about the news, I told another cousin about the news instantly.

Me : Have you heard? Jal's getting engaged this weekend!

Icam : Whereee..?

Me : In KK, of course

Icam : Are you going? Damn, wassup with my gang cousin ni?? Semua settling down!

See..? Even he didnt know about it. But we're all so happy that he's getting engaged. He's been with the same girl for years now, so I think it's time for them to move on to the next phase of life. Plus, from now on I will not be the only one to be blamed on putting the pressures on the rest of my cousins! ( on my pals as well, for that matter! )

So happy for you, cuz! Hani & me will not be there, but our prayers will!
