Rat Race Sucks!

Just as I was trying to enjoy the morning a bit after getting better from my fever, I reveived a call from this guy from Citibank! Yup, better settle those bills baby!... I don't mind him calling since I was in fact intending to pay it tonite or tomorrow nite but hey, 8 o'clock in the morning? Come on, gimme a break!!!

Shit, make me wonder how much I owe my credit bankies. Come to think about it, this month only I owe them 1-damn-grands! That's kinda BIG to me since I've to pay for my rent, send some to mum, as well as for my living expenses. Give me the fret sometimes. Luckily, got my claim cheque cleared yesterday.

It's alarming actually to one day, read about this so-called rat race ( bloody rat race, as I call it! ) and the other day, waking up from your sleep knowing that you're in it! Scary...

For crying out loud, C'est la Vie!-that's Life y'all! :) Nothing comes easy in life. Life is rarely as we would like it to be, rather it is exactly as it is. AGAIN, scary facts of life.

p/s : Tonite I'm playing futsal with my buddies n most of all, my fraternal mate, Zaki @ Shah Alam. The first time I'm playing after my marriage that is! Cool eh?

Not Good!

I'm actually not feeling very good today... and most of all, I had to type this twice!!! Wish I was on a break or something. This is certainly the type of day that I would have skipped work on. Got up around 8:30 after my subuh prayer. Had an appointment to catch at 9:00. I think that's what threw me off. My daily "internal clock" so to speak.

I've also had a splitting headache all day and a sore throat. Man, I hope I'm not coming down with something, but it seems a bit late for that. I've tried and tried to get the creative juices flowing and get some work done, but the zeal which I had on Saturday seems to be gone. I think my best bet is to go back to bed. Seriously. Maybe if I go back to bed now and wake up around 8 or 9pm just in time for dinner, I'll be back in the right frame of mind. Gotta give it a shot. Of course, there's always that possibility of sleeping straight into tomorrow, which I wouldn't really mind.

But again, I'm in the office rite now and this is really a piece of crap!

Blur, that's what I am

Gosh, it's been a week since my outstation. Lots of work awaiting me at the office and not forgetting, this blog! Damn, gotta squeeze my brain a bit and do a lot of catchin to fill in my blog. Good thing is, pay's in! Only my claim isn't. Wonder what's taking them that damn long? It's not that I'm broke ( not this month anyway! ) or something but when you got your pay and your claim secured in your account, it just make you feel sooo damn cool. "Show me the money!", that's what I'm talkin about... Haha, what the heck am I saying?... hmphhh... dunno... whatever... I'm damn blur rite now...

Too bad you're readin this. Gotta run!

Makan, makan, makan!

Sigh, thinkin of doing somethin crazy today. Hmmmph ... what am I having for lunch today? Hopefully, yanz and zul are in for lunch today.

My tummie had a surprise this morning. I had Cornflakes for breakfast. One big bowl of it, full of less-fat milk. And I had my normal dosage of teh o ais limau right after that with two half-boiled eggs. No wonder I had tummy ache after that. Too bad eh...

Lookin at it, people who know me will think I've been brainwashed. My 'normal' breakfast consists of nasi lemak or the very least, roti canai. My favorite drink is a must. And usually it doesn't last until lunch time. In between, I'll snack on something, be it just plain biscuits or just hot milo self-made at the pantry.

One of my dude invited me to have salad lunch today. Since I haven't been eating 'healthy' lately, that's a good choice! But I can guarantee that it'll not last me till 4 p.m. Oh, maybe I get some fruits and spaghetti. The Thai set lunch looks good too!

Oh, dear. People around me said that I gain weight. It's more obvious after my wedding. Well, well, I wonder why...

Losers!

I swore I wouldn't get into the Beckham-Loos-Marbeck bandwagon... but here I am, writting about it in my blog.

And why?

Because this nationwide - no, worldwide - fascination with the whole fiasco is getting on my damn nerves. Okay, so the dude couldn't control his urges and strayed. So what?

Really, I can't be bothered with who Beckham or any other athlete for that matter, sleeps with on side. I mean, shouldn't something like performance on the field, instead of the bedroom, be the point of attention here?

Or are we so bored as people that we need to live vicariously through other people's lives? Looks like that's so, judging from the amount of attention every little scandal and affair gets blown into the papers anda magazines. ( If you remember Clinton and not to forget, Arnie the Governor! )

And I guess Loos and Marbeck knew about the "value" of exposing their dirty little secrets. So what if they slept with Becks sometime back? The point of telling that would be ... ?

Couldn't answer that question? I couldn't either. Fame or notoriety or just plain cheap publicity, it's up to you to judge. What was the point really?

The truth is, it's an issue where everyone loses out, and I hope they realise it. So who loses? Everyone!

Becks - for being a lying, cheating philanderer to his wife and family;

Loos and Marbeck - for being labelled loose women for the rest of their lives, in their quest to get their measly shot at fame; not forgetting their family as well. "Siapa yang malu? Mereka dah keluarga mereka!" (Remember that line?)

And the saddest loser of all?

Posh - for finding out that the marriage made in heaven is actually making its swift descent to hell.

AND THE BIGGEST WINNER? Tabloid companies who are busy making loads of cash feeding of our perverse fascination with people who, in the end, don't even matter in the big scheme of things in life. As simple as that!

Good Sunday

Feel so good today! Early in the morning after our subuh prayer, me and my baby went to see the sun rise by the Teluk Cempedak B**ch?! Nope, beach. Hehe... After that we went back to the hotel, to catch our breakfast and doze off till 2 in the evening, just in time to catch the celcom-in-play futsal at the state's stadium. Seems like a honeymoon trip rather than an outstation trip!

Sigh, I better enjoy this while it last!

Lock The Grill!

Met my neighbour, Khir by the parking lot this morning. Our neighbour at 4th & 5th floor respectively has been robbed during the weekend. The ashole broke into their house when they were both at their hometown for the weekend. Both loss was about 6 grands!

Damn! I mean, I should be more concerned about this. Not that I leave more than 6 grands of cash under the pillow when I leave my house ( Haha, funny... leaving even 6 hundred bucks in the house would be filthy rich enough for me! ) but the fact of me being the most prone to leave my house for my outstation at least once a month kinda caught my attention. Shit, I just hate the feeling of insecurity.

There will be a meeting to discuss on the matter as well as the steps taken to avoid such thing from happening again. Khir suggested that we build a grill at the entrance of our block and lock it; meaning just outside my doorstep that is since our house is at the first floor. Also meaning that each house is given a key each and only they who live in the premises can have access to the grill.

Well, that make sense!

EXPLORACE FINAL CRAZE

With this kinda craze and passion that everybody has everywhere I go, I've no choice but to write on last night's Explorace Winner - Rina & Fariz in today's blog. Can't blame the craze though, for 100 grands richer, who wouldn't be?!

Of course, a hearty CONGRATULATIONS to Fariz & Rina; the First Winner Of Explorace, ... Overall, I really thought that they truly deserve to win. With those attitudes and understandings they had between hubby and wife, gosh, nobody can deny them winning. It was a great race actually since all three competitors where really good making the competition very tough. And the result, they both won it - fair and square..

Throughout the Final race, there were 3 teams that competing end to end; Sanjeev & Ravin, Jerry & Maria and of course, Fariz & Rina. Having advantange of the race in Australia, Fariz and Rina got the 1/2 hours advantage in their hands.

Overall, 5 tasks were to be completed in the finals. GOod thing is, each teams are free to choose from which location do they prefer to start first which, really depends on their planning on how to get to the 5 places to beat the time.

Making a long story short, in the end, Sanjeev and Ravin who were tough competitors to Fariz & Rina was disqualified from the race which eventually proved that their strategies were dead wrong.

The disqualification, leaving Fariz & Rina and Jerry & Maria in the race most automatically crowns Fariz & Rina as Explorace winners! Why automatically? Well, were Jerry & Maria tough battles to Fariz & Rina? ... Obviously, NO! So, there you go. Congratulations Again!

The 100-grands-richer-smile!

WEDNESDAY MORNING

Gosh, it's Wednesday! Can't believe how fast time flew. Had a good sleep last night after watching Average Joe. Felt asleep in between it actually! Too bad Joe.

Tomorrow we'll be setting up our booth in Times Square Convention Centre. Cybron will be taking part in an exhibition held there from 16-18 April; and I might as well send my baby to Pandan Indah AGAIN! I hope my in-laws won't mind that. I owe them a lot anyway. May God bless them always.

Sunday morning I'll be cruising the roads for my outstation trip. Not sure if my baby will be going or not. Really, I would love if she can go. At least, my mind would be peace while I'm working down there while she's with me. I won't have to think much about not seeing her as often as I do now. But what if she can't follow? The bad thing is, damn, I'll be missing her badly! But then, she won't feel that comfortable also to be in the car for nearly 7 hours drive! I mean, with her condition and all, I won't fancy her going with me that much though god knows how I want to. Hmphhh, we'll see. Got a meeting in 2 minutes. Thanx for taking a peek.

HOME SWEET HOME

Drove to my in-laws in Pandan Indah to fetch my baby after work today. It's been quite a while since we were home @ Damansara. After what happened, the idea of my dearie being alone @ home while I'm @ work kinda bother me actually. Hopefully, she's alright @ home.

Love you sooo much baby... wait till I get home ok?

SATU LAGI PROJEK KERAJAAN BARISAN NASIONAL

Since I don't have a damn clue to write in my blog today before I hit the road and head to my lovely wife, I think I'm just gonna cut and paste what I wrote during the GE a couple of days back.

"Everytime you criticise anything in this country, you're considered unpatriotic or you have no love for the for the country."

This line of thinking is not new in this country. The ruling party has been for many years pushing the line that we have to be thankful for all their contributions to the country and hence by virtue of that have to vote them in. This logic is flawed. Here's why.

The first thing that many must remember is that politicians who serve this country are individuals who are being paid to do a job. They are public servants. Hence, Khir Toyo is a servant to the rakyat. Pak Lah is a servant to the rakyat. Haji Hadi is a servant to the rakyat. They should be listening to us, and not the other way round. We pay them to get the job done. Malaysians have to understand that respect is not something given by virtue of one being elected to a seat but by ensuring that they earn it.

Secondly, Malaysians must understand that if a politician provides the essentials, he is doing nothing but what he is paid to do. BN is paid by the people to rule the country. Access to health and education is a human right. Access to accomodation and a decent life is a basic requirement. It is the job of the politicians to ensure that these things get to the people. Hence, when low cost flats are built, it is not Satu Lagi Projek Oleh Kerajaan Barisan Nasional. It's a project funded by the Malaysian taxpayer. It's not funded by Badawi. It's not funded by BN. It's not funded by UMNO. It's funded by the keropok lekor seller at the corner of Jalan Burhanuddin Helmi, the teacher who is always having problems making ends meet and by the koay teow seller who drives a Waja. We do not have to be grateful to political parties who are only doing what they are paid to do.

WE however will be grateful to politicians who:

1. Make it a point to visit their constituents on a regular basis. It's an MP's job yes, but we would still be grateful if we can have an MP who shows us what he's doing from time to time and makes an extra effort to reach out. Not Just during the GE, of course!

2. Find creative means to sustainably ensure that mothers will be able to opt to stay at home for periods of up to two years to take care of their children like in Sweden. This includes providing a stay-at-home allowance and employee protection rights.

3. Who will fight to ensure minimum wages for all employees regardless of political pressure from corporations.

4. Who want to serve the country first and not fill their pockets.

Come to think of it, this is not about being an UMNO-BN, PAS, KEADILAN or DAP supporter. Come on wake up, this is our voice and rights as a Malaysian!

HOW DO I...? (PART 1)

How do you change the template of this blog eh? It's either this blog is not user friendly or else I'm the one who screw up! I guess they are doing some changes at blogspot.com coz out of a sudden I can't even download a template. Anyway, just came back from lunch with Q and Yan. GOSH, it's damn hot outside. And it keeps getting hotter each day. Most of the evenings are showered with heavy rain though. Enough with the normal traffic craze. Better move ma ass early today. Don't wanna get stuck in the traffic like yesterday...
